  • Is there a cancellation policy?

    Yes. Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
  • What types of guns can I shoot?

    Our gun range is equipped to support a large variety of firearms. Contact us today for specific inquiries about caliber restrictions.
  • How far in advance do I need to book my activities?

    72 hours is highly recommended but we can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests.
  • Can I bring my own guns?

    Yes, with prior approval from our staff.
  • Can I bring my own horses?

    No.
  • Are there other things to do around Dead Cat Ranch?

    Absolutely! Palestine, Texas, is home to plenty of fun things to do in and around the city for a day excursion. Here is a list of a few of our favorites:

  • Are activities on the ranch available to non-guests?

    We want the experience at Dead Cat Ranch to be tranquil and secluded, so we only offer our activities to guests of our lodging.

• Amenities

  • How do we get around on the property?

    We rent out ATV's and UTV's to get around the property but you are also allowed to bring your own. Our ranch rules for ATV's and UTV's apply to your own personal vehicles, so please note that before bringing them.
  • Is there WiFi on the ranch?

    Of course! While we believe seclusion and the ability to unplug is part of the draw of Dead Cat Ranch, we do offer WiFi in our club house.
  • Do you offer meal service?

    Our kitchens come fully stocked with plates, silverware, sheets, and towels, and we offer a "stock the fridge" option where our team will pick up what you need at a local grocery store for your stay. Those packages start at $75 minimum. We have partnered up with a few places that can cater to bigger events, cook a private dinner or even create gourmet picnic baskets during your stay. There are also a lot of great food options in town, and Doordash delivers to the Ranch!

• House Rules

  • Are pets allowed on the ranch?

    Pets are not allowed. Dead Cat Ranch is a working ranch, so there are animals present. Because of that, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home, and observe ours from a safe distance.
  • Is alcohol allowed on the property?

    Of course, our ranch is BYOB. Everything in moderation, though. Have fun but stay safe, make smart decisions, and drink responsibly.
  • When is arrival and departure?

    You can check-in at any time between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. Check-out is at 11 a.m. Early check-in's and late check out's are available upon availability.
