When you pull in through the gate, follow the road to the right to the large metal building (clubhouse). The guest parking is just behind and to the left of the building, marked with guest parking signs. You’ll go inside to check in. The waivers are in a clear folder with the name of the cabin on them on the kitchen island in the clubhouse (there should be a front and back to sign), along with a credit card form for incidentals. Please make sure to sign all of those and slide them underneath the “Employees Only” door, if we could not greet you.

Please note that personal vehicles are allowed at the cabins and Airstreams, but DO NOT attempt to drive them on the trails.

Directions from Tyler, TX

Take 155 South towards Palestine. Take a right onto FM 321 until you reach the stop sign. Take a left onto FM 315 and follow that road about four miles until you see Dead Cat Ranch on your right (look for red fencing in the main entrance).

Directions from Dallas/Fort Worth area

Take 175 South until you reach Athens. Turn right onto TX-7. Exit on Hwy 19 and take it until you reach Montalba. Take a right on FM 315 and you will go about four miles until you reach Dead Cat Ranch on your right (look for red fencing in the main entrance).

Directions from Houston area

Take 45 North to exit 178 (US 79 towards Buffalo/Jewett) and turn left onto Link Street. Turn left at Gardener Drive/FM 315. Go about three miles to Dead Cat Ranch on your left (look for red fencing in the main entrance).

Directions from Austin area

Take 290 East and turn left onto FM 973 until you hit US 79 and then take a right. Stay on US 79 until you reach Palestine and then take a left onto Link Street. Turn left at Gardener Drive/FM 315. Go about three miles to Dead Cat Ranch on your left (look for red fencing in the main entrance).

Bunk House

The Bunkhouse address is 2716 CR 404 in Palestine, Texas. Please make sure that you come to our main area FIRST prior to going over to the bunkhouse to check in. We require a credit card on file for incidentals, a valid ID, and a signed waiver in order to drive the UTV’s on our property. Please note that personal vehicles are NOT ALLOWED on the trails. Please only drive your UTV to and from the clubhouse on the trails. You can drive your personal vehicle on the main roads back and forth when needed.

To get to the bunkhouse from the clubhouse:
Take a right out of the main entrance onto FM 315. Follow FM 315 for a couple of miles and take a right onto FM 3309/Country Club Road. Take a right onto ACR 403. Take a right onto ACR 404 and follow that road for almost three miles and the entrance will be on your right (there should be a red Dead Cat Ranch sign at the entrance).

Airstreams

Hollywood Airstream is the first Airstream that you will come to on the right (with blue and black interior). The Airstreams do have signs on the steps leading up to the doors.

Texas Hideaway Cabin

To get to the Texas Hideaway Cabin, you will take the road that is directly in front of the Airstreams and follow it until you see the cabin.

Country Cottage

To get to the Country Cottage, take the road that goes directly behind the clubhouse and past the Airstreams until you see the blue and white cabin on your left.

Reminders

• If you are staying in our cabins or the bunkhouse, there will be a keypad on the door to enter.
• Check in time is 3 pm until 10 pm
• Check out time is 11 am (we sometimes can offer late check out until 1 pm for an additional $20 but we cannot usually guarantee this until the day before your check out)
• WiFi is provided at our clubhouse area and password is shown on kitchen island (DCR Guest)
